What is the Medium and Long-Term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL)- 2022?

The first and foremost thing to consider is making sure your occupation is on the Combined List of Eligible Skilled Occupations before applying for the Temporary Skill Shortage Visa (TSS Visa) subclass 482. Once you've located your job, you'll notice that it's on the Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL), the Medium and Long-Term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL), or the Regional Occupation List (ROL). You must understand the difference between these job descriptions and make the right selections.

Basics requirement for the application of MLTSSL

Each occupation is classified differently by ANZSCO (Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations). All positions on the MLTSSL require the same level of English proficiency. Additionally, you must demonstrate that you fulfil the health and character criteria.

IELTS TOEFL IBT PTE
Listening 5 14 36
Reading 5 14 36
Speaking 5 14 36
Writing 5 14 36

Can I get PR with MLTSSL?

The answer is yes. You must have worked for the same company for a minimum of three years to be eligible to apply for permanent residence under the Temporary Residence Transitional (TRT) stream of the Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) subclass 186 or the Regional Sponsor Migration Scheme (RSMS) subclass 187.

In contrast to jobs on the STSOL, you do not need to work in rural Australia to qualify for PR. You can work in rural Australia or urban regions such as Sydney or Melbourne. If you decide to change employers for whatever reason, you will be required to work for the new employer for an additional three years, regardless of how long you worked for the former company.

Finally, your employer must agree to support your application once you are eligible. Employers must contribute an extra $3,000 or $5,000 to the Australian Government to support your application. Not all employers will be receptive to the application. To prevent wasting time, we urge that you address this with any prospective employers.
