With this option, there is a fee, but an assessor can be assigned to your application in 20 working days. This does not guarantee that you will get a response within that time frame. The calibre of the documents you submit and whether we need more information from you will determine how quickly your assessment is processed.

Overseas engineering PhD qualification assessment

For immigration purposes, we can evaluate your foreign engineering PhD to see if it is comparable to an Australian engineering PhD. If your PhD was earned in Australia, you are not in need of this service.

Relevant skilled employment (Evaluation of pertinent skilled employment)

We can look over any supporting documents for your employment. With the exception of engineering managers, this option is available for all professional engineering occupation categories and is a required component of the CDR assessment.

Important Note

The website of Engineers Australia provided the following details regarding Migration Skills Assessment Fees.

The official agency in Australia for evaluating engineering competencies is Engineers Australia. Regardless of whether an immigrant has a degree that has been certified or not, it evaluates their migration skills. It frequently serves as the first step toward obtaining permanent residency.

Step-by-step guide for Engineers Australia Assessment

  • To find out the requirements and checklist for applying for a skills assessment with Engineers Australia, read the Migration Skills Assessment (MSA) Booklet.
  • Decide on the best route.
  • Obtain all required documentation before applying for the online skills assessment.
  • Fill the application.

Checklist for Accredited Qualifications

  • a recent passport photo
  • a current passport
  • a certificate of your graduate degree
  • a copy of your academic transcript resume
  • results of the IELTS, PTE Academic, and TOEFL iBT exams
  • a name change document of any kind

For every document, colour scans of the original papers are needed.

Checklist for non-accredited qualifications

Non-accredited credential holders who are migrant workers must submit a Competency Demonstration Report (CDR). The applicant must show that they have used their technical engineering expertise and that they are familiar with its fundamentals. The CDR contains a statement about Continuing Professional Development (CPD), three Career Episodes, and a Summary Statement.

The CPD demonstrates that you are knowledgeable about changes in the engineering field. The name of the course, the date, the length of the course, the location, and the name of the organiser must all be included in a table format when submitting the CPD. The primary objective of the career episode is to highlight your engineering background and work history. Every episode of your technical work is focused on a different period of time or component. It might be a project you're working on, something you did for your academic degree, or even a specific engineering issue you had to solve.

The next step is to analyse the Career Episode in relation to the critical competency components for the chosen engineering occupation. The Summary Statement writing needs to include the following analysis.

  • a recent passport photo
  • a current passport
  • a certificate of your graduate degree
  • a copy of your academic transcript
  • resume
  • results of the IELTS, PTE Academic, and TOEFL iBT exams
  • a name change document of any kind
  • an appropriate registration certificate
  • documentation pertaining to employment, such as a letter of recommendation and pay slips
  • CPD list
  • 3 Careers Episode
  • Summary Statement

For every document, colour scans of the original papers are needed.
